Industrias ROKO facilities

In the year 1974, ROKO opened its new factory taking advantage of the valuable experience, gained over the years producing agar in the previous one. The new facility is strategically located in Asturias near the main seaweed harvesting areas.

The modern plant is built on 20.000m2 and is endowed with the specialized equipment to produce the most sophisticated types of Agar.

The high production capacity has been doubled in the last decade, and the manufacturing process has been increasingly automated and improved, thus making our facility one of the most efficient Agar factories in the world today.

ROKO cares for the environment. Our constant striving for improving the quality of our Agar products and our leadership in the sector, go hand in hand with our continuous concern for the preservation of the environment. This has led us to install our own electric and thermic power plant, and separate facility for the treatment of effluent.
