The production of Purified Agar, involves a special process in which agaropectine and mineral salt contents are greatly reduced so as to obtain a product with near agarose properties but with the advantage of substantially lower cost.

ROKO Purified Agar makes very transparent gels and its great diffusion capacity, high gel strength and low electroendosmosis (-mr) makes it suitable for microbiology, electrophorectic separations of proteins and DNA and also immunodiffusion techniques.
